Manufacturing Technology Group presents its expertise for a total solution. Background

The Manufacturing Focus Group (MFG) was established in 2011. It is a group developed within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang to emphasize any research activities related to the manufacturing process area in order to help the growing economy. The main objective of this group is to enhance the manufacturing process productivity as well as minimizing the environmental burden.

We undertake:

- Joining and welding
- Machining
- Sheet metal forming
- Casting
- Non-traditional Processing
- Powder Metallurgy

In CITREx 2020, MTG participated for 5 projects. “Enhancement of Brazing Joint Strength by Laser Surface Texturing” by Dr. Aiman won Gold Medal and awarded 1st place in Best Invention in Manufacturing. Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Akhtar developed an Automatic Mackintosh Structure with Digital Counting Platform.
