2 GOLD MEDALS FOR FTKMA LECTURERS IN ITEX 2021!

Kuala Lumpur, 14th December - Research on SUPERPOWER COOLANT FOR ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM led by Associate Professor Ts. Ir. Dr. Kumaran Kadirgama and FIBER BRAGG GRATING GAP SENSOR FOR CRITICAL FLANGE MONITORING led by Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Mohd Hafizi Zohari won GOLD in ITEX 2021, among other Gold medal winners from UMP!

FIRST EDUCOMIC IN UMP BY FTKMA LECTURERS LAUNCHED!

Pekan, 13th January 2022 - FTKMA lecturers were among the authors celebrated during the 2021 book launching event by UMP Press. The book in question is the first educomic published by UMP, entitle Survival Statics Part 1. The event was officiated by FTKMA's Dean, Professor Dr Mahadzir Ishak. The full news can be read here

WORK-BASED LEARNING WORKSHOP WITH INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES

FTKMA held a work-based learning (WBL) workshop from 7th to 9th January 2022 in Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa, Cherating. The workshop centered on the revisions of the teaching plans with industrial representatives. Also present in the workshop are FTKMA's Dean, Professor Dr. Mahadzir Ishak, Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Development) Dr. Mohd Hasnun Arif Hasan, as well as Head of Programs for Automotive Technology and Automotive Engineering Technology.
 
The industry representatives include:

FTKMA LECTURERS BAGS GOLD MEDAL IN PERISA 2021

4 FTKMA lecturers, namely Dr. Daing Nafiz, Dr. Ahmad Fitri, Dr. Mohamad Heerwan and Dr. Mohd Adnin won a gold medal in the National TVET Lecturers Innovation Competition 2021 (PERISA 21). Their innovation entitled "Smart Flange and Electrical Start System for After-sale 2-Strokes Engine" was chosen to win gold in the competition which saw participation by lecturers and researchers from various higher education institutions in Malaysia. 
 
A total of 285 innovative inventions qualified for the final stage and competed in 4 categories, namely; engineering technology, information technology, social sciences as well as teaching and learning. A total of 22 innovation projects were awarded gold, while 122 projects and 124 projects were awarded silver and bronze, respectively. 
 
The achievement is recognition to FTKMA and UMP for upholding the nation's desire to accomplish quality and high order technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
